The inside story of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront

Does Cape Town have its own Leaning Tower?

Google would have you believe so…

The Time Ball Tower on Google Maps

But we’re happy to say, The Time Ball Tower still points straight up and the illusion belongs solely to Google.

November 2021

We discovered this in the course of opening a page on CapeInfo for the Waterfront’s heritage sites. A QR code in The Waterfront Story links directly to this page which will contain more and current information about those sites, which are located on a map. So you can keep it on your phone or tablet for when you do want to explore more. We haven’t finished adding the sites yet, but you can find it at https://capeinfo.com/heritage-sites-at-the-v-a-waterfront.
