Cape Town Tourism has announced the seven nominees for the three positions on their board of directors.  So CapeInfo has asked the nominees to contribute their tourism visions, to show their insight and ability to help drive Cape Town even higher.  We’re hoping for content that’s new and fresh, not the same-old, same-old.  And this kicks off our new Readers’ Blog — In Your Own Write — where readers get to give their views.  (Click here for submission requirements.)

The nominees for Cape Town’s board are:

• Ian Bartes: Manager: Service Standards and Quality Assurance, Airports Company South Africa, Cape Town / current Chairman of Cape Town Tourism (standing for re-election)
• Derek Bock: Operations Manager, Eurocape / current Board Member of Cape Town Tourism (standing for re-election)
• Jillian Grindley-Ferris: Brand and Business Manager, Two Oceans Aquarium
• Guy Lundy – Chief Executive Officer, Accelerate Cape Town
• Bruce Parker-Forsyth – Chief Executive Officer, WORLDSPORT organisers of events like J&B Met
• Rashid Toefy – Chief Executive Officer, Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC)
• Arno Vorster – Manager Internal Audit seconded to the Office of the City Manager, City of Cape Town
